Never give up!

never give up

We have all started something at some point in our lives and later wanted to give up. Some projects or tasks can be so frustrating, hard and time-consuming that we just decide it would be easier to quit.

1 Corinthians 1:7-9 (MSG)

7-9 Just think—you don’t need a thing, you’ve got it all! All God’s gifts are right in front of you as you wait expectantly for our Master Jesus to arrive on the scene for the Finale. And not only that, but God himself is right alongside to keep you steady and on track until things are all wrapped up by Jesus. God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.

Apostle Paul is speaking to the church at Corinth. He is reminding them that they have everything they need to make it until the return of Christ. He also told them that Jesus would never give up on them.

Life’s journey can be difficult for anyone. Whether Christian or non-Christian we share this earth journey together. God offers everyone on this earth the same opportunity for freedom through Jesus. Of course until the message of hope and freedom through Christ is shared with non-believers they do not have a chance to experience true life.

The words of Apostle Paul here remind those of us who know Christ, that God Himself is right along side of us in our journey of life. He reminds us that God will never give up on us and that we should never forget that promise. Giving up is not a godly trait, it’s a human trait. In difficult times giving up can seem a lot easier than sticking it out to the end. These days giving up seems like no big deal and even can be celebrated.

Thank God, He is God and not human. However, since Jesus came to earth as a human and understands our frailties, He has compassion on us. No matter how many times we mess up, He is faithful to His Word and never gives up. We should never forget that He will never give up on us! We must be careful not to assign human feelings or shortcomings to God. The Bible states that His ways are Higher than ours. In other words God does not think in human terms but does understand how we think.

Let’s go out today full of confidence of God’s faithfulness towards us and remember the words “Never give up”! After all Jesus never gives up on us. Then let’s take that confidence and share the wonderful message of God’s faithfulness to our lost brothers and sisters in the world. Then they too can have the same peace, hope and love that we have daily through Christ!
